A few words to everyone involved with "The Lady" - What a shame we didn't manage to gain more recognition from adjudicators for all our achievements and make it to this year's finals.
However to my mind we did our level best and performed a great show which the audiences thoroughily enjoyed.
I would personally like to thank all of you for your good humour, serious engagement with the material and hard work. I was delighted to watch the show every night and fascinated to see the performances became more assured as our tour progressed.
To those of you who worked backstage, once again you did a fantastic job quietly and tirelessly delivering the goods again and again.The sheer professionalism which allowed those of you facing ill health and personal trauma to ensure that the show went on regardless was a humbling privilege to witness.
I'm sorry to have waited so long to send this message but Easter and Percy French got in the way.
Anyway the Van is going through it's MOT so you never know if it passes where it may turn up next!

Many of you will know and remember Betty Allen who played in many of Bart players productions over the years, often travelling long distances to rehearsals and performances from Cushendun after she moved there from her home at Stranmillis.
Betty has become involved in setting up a new arts centre in the deconsecrated, old parish church in her village of Cushendun. The Cushendun Building Preservation Trust aims to transform it into a broad-based arts centre for use by the whole community as a unique venue for all kinds of art activities, and also to give people an extra reason to visit the Glens of Antrim.
Cushendun Old Church has been chosen as one of three buildings to represent Northern Ireland in the UK-wide competition, Village Restoration. Viewers vote for their favourite project and the winning building receives funding for its restoration.
Funding is vital for this project, so please help Betty by picking up the phone on Friday 1 September and calling 09013 600500 to vote for 'Cushendun Old Church'.
Lines will be open from the Friday to the following Tuesday.
Calls from a BT landline cost £1. More tha 75p from each call will go to The Restoration Fund to help restore the winning building.
