    From Gillian Porter

I would like to thank everyone who helped to make Running Riot such a success last week. The comments I received were all positive and we will probably have achieved a financial success as well.

To the actors thank you for your hard work and commitment over the two months rehearsal period and your blood sweat and tears during the run,you all supported each other tremendously and produced a great team effort.

Thank you also for all the craic on Mon Tues And Thurs nights!

To those of you who worked on the technical side of things, James who transported us to sunny Mediterranean climes, Carmen who dressed you in the 50's, Anne and Caroline who produced pot after pot of coffee, Clem who hardly had to prompt at all, David who dished out black eyes effortlessly, Barney who practically built the set single handedly, Michael & Chris "allo allo", John S & John L who enabled us to be seen and Ann Sloan and her front of house team not forgetting Joe and Sian on the door. You were all brilliant!

Please remember we will be having a final opportunity to read The Big House on Tues and Thurs of next week before final casting.

See you there at 8.00pm and also at the Craft Fair on Sat 10.00 till 4.00.

    Best Wishes,

    Gillian Porter

    Andrew Campbell

Many of you will remember Andrew Campbell, who although a member of Belvoir Players, has acted in several plays with Barts - Kevin's Bed, The Last night at Ballyhoo and Number One and more.

Unfortunately Andrew suffered a heart attack three weeks ago and is at present seriously ill in The Royal, perhaps in need of a transplant. Clem has visited Andrew to pass on our good wishes for his recovery.

Please keep Andrew in your thoughts.

    Running Riot

    8th 9th 10th November 2007

Bart Players present their autumn show in the church hall, three performances of Derek Benfield’s hilarious comedy.

Some of you may remember seeing this play about ten years ago and indeed we feature three members of the original cast.

The play is set in a small hotel in Europe, at the time of the Olympic Games now changed to the Senior Olympic Games to accommodate the advancing years of the cast!! Come along and join Felix the “allo allo “ type hotelier as he and his daughter grapple with athletes, trainers, wives and spies in a fast and furious comedy of espionage and mistaken identities.

The words “ze robin is on ze bough will never have the same meaning again!

    Don’t miss it!

  • Audf Finals in Armagh

Dick Mills of Belvoir Players has booked a coach to take enthusiasts to the AUDF finals in Armagh each evening during finals week.

The coach will leave the Belvoir Studios each evening at 6pm and return after the adjudication of each show. The return on Saturday evening will be a little later to allow for awards and celebrations afterwards.

The cost is £60 per person for the week and includes the entrance ticket for each show. That looks like a bit of a bargain as I believe the price of a entrance alone to single show will be £8.
Anyone who wishes to reserve a place on the coach should contact Dick as below. Cheques for £60 should be payable to R Mills.

    258 Belvoir Drive
    Belfast
